May 29, 2001: Wires, wires, wires...

  • Just a little update, since I haven't had time to write one in a while... The interior is coming together nicely. I removed the instrument panel to finish up the gauge wiring, so it's back together for good now. The courtesy light switches are wired, the headlight switch is wired up, and so is the wiper switch. Doesn't sound like much? Well, I spent three nights trying to decipher how to wire up the wiper motor with my aftermarket Painless Wiring wiper switch... UGH!
  • I have new door panels and window glass pieces coming in this week to finish up the rest of the interior! I'll put in the glass, wire up the power windows, finish Dynamating the door metal, and put the panels on. Should be done this weekend!
  • Other items of note. Purchased an Optima Battery and a mounting bracket from Detroit Speed & Engineering. Nice piece that I will trunk mount.
  • Final little odds and ends. I'm rerouting my fuel pressure regulator, and have all the pieces for that finally. It's going at the back of the passenger side fuel rail. The gas tank and fuel filter should go in this week, as will the new brake line (front to rear). I'm trying to get some of the underneath items wrapped up finally! :)
