- First entry. I'll try to update these as I have time. At the moment, the
car is still sitting with the floorboard cut out (pic).
I have the donor floorpan and firewall cut out and ready to install
(pic coming). I have also removed the cowl from the Camaro (pic)
and will be replacing it with this one (pic). This
job should be completed this coming weekend.
- The rest of the body is within a few days of being ready for paint. The
custom red has been mixed (pic doesn't do
justice to the actual color) and is ready to go. Man, that stuff's
not cheap! The body shell has a few spots to be touched up, but is otherwise
ready for paint. The doors, fenders, front valence need some final sanding
and a few little dimples fixed. The major work lies in the hood, which I
expect will likely take a good 2 days. I'm hoping to be body prepped by
2 weeks from now.
- All of my engine pieces have finally arrived (pic)
expect the camshaft and rockers. Hopefully those will be in next week. I have
a lot of block prep work to do first though. I plan to blueprint the bottom end
myself, so I also have a lot of measurements to take too... Check out the engine
page for more details.
- With the untimely passing of Art Rasmussen, my front subframe is on hold.
I'm hoping to still receive it, but time will tell. I'm also pursuing other
rear suspension options too, since I don't think I'll ever see an IRS from
ARDF. Currently I'm looking at one from Ryane Motorsports. See the
Chassis page for more details.
