- Afraid I don't have any good new pics to show, but I ended up replacing the left
side front fender. Long story short, reproduction sheet metal SUCKS! Turns out the
fender that was on the car was a reproduction, and I didn't realize it. I had all
kinds of problems trying to get it aligned with the door line and the header panel.
I finally gave up, and bought another fender.
Now, I looked over several and picked the best of the bunch. However, as much
as I tried, it turns out that I got one that needed work in the lower panel
behind the tire. Sigh... Three days worth of bondo/sand, bondo/sand, etc later,
and we shot the fender red! Turned out pretty good! :)
- Once the fender was done, I finally was able to put the entire front end together!
And that means everything: bumpers, headlights, parking lights, urethane nose, grill,
the whole works! It's really starting to look like a car! All that's left sheetmetal-
wise is to sand and polish the hood and spoiler ends, and the body will be together
and ready to roll!
- I'll try to get some new pictures of all this work soon...
